Our Gym team strives to be the friendliest and most helpful team in the business. They will support you through induction, initial programme training through to advanced programmes, mini gym sessions and classes.

Lee Drewery - Deputy Health & Fitness Manager

Info:As Deputy Health and Fitness Manager, I train in the gym frequently; and spend much of my working week at all 5 sentinel sites; Marina, Waterlane, Bungay, Phoenix and Broadlands. I am passionate about fitness and enjoy training clients whilst seeing them develop technique and performance. My knowledge of the fitness industry is extensive; if you are dedicated and motivated we will achieve results.
Qualifications:Degree in Sport Management, L2 Gym Instructor, Nutrition, L3 Personal Trainer, The Wright Foundation Exercise Referral, Health and Wellbeing Advisor, Circuit Training, Gym Based Boxing, Group Cycling, ETM and First Aid at Work.

Danny Macklin

Info:My main area of focus is strength and conditioning; I previously competed in strongman competitions and have an interest in boxing; however, I now see myself as being focussed on all areas of fitness. I mainly train for enjoyment but I do excel at training clients of all abilities. I instruct many of the group cycling classes at Marina and look forward to seeing you trying my classes..

Ben Lambert - Health & Fitness Manager

Info:Hi, I have worked here at Waterlane for nearly 10 years now, staring off as a Fitness Instructor and now as the Health and Fitness Manager for all the gym's with Sentinel Leisure Trust (Waterlane, Broadlands, Bungay, Marina and Phoenix). I am also a personal trainer and class instructor too, so if you would like a session with me leave me a message. I take Spinning classes here at Waterlane Monday 5.30pm,Tuesday 6.30pm and Friday 9.30am, I also do CircuitsTuesday 7.30pm, please come along and give it a go if you haven't already!!

Gary Sullivan


My main areas of interst are Mixed Martial Arts and Rugby, I've competed in both and enjoyed training in them very much! I also enjoy being within the confine of the gym and in that environment.
My main area of training is primarily strength and conditioning, although I do  enjoy learning new and different techniques and implementing them into my own training. I'm always trying to improve myself in any every way I can.
